NP Governor seeks help to curb rampant crimes, violence

The Northern Province Governor has informed Heads of Security Forces on September 30 to take steps to curb crimes and violence that are spreading in Jaffna these days.

Northern Province Governor P. S. M. Charles said that many types of crimes and violence are evident at many places in Jaffna now.

The Governor said that those who carry out crimes and violence flee Jaffna after committing them and hide in the South.

There seems to be a network of criminal gangs in the North, the Governor said.

Therefore, the Governor urged the residents to provide information about these violent gangs to the relevant authorities without any fear, via 0777229338 and 0768095139, the Governor said.
