Several spells of showers will occur in Sabaragamuwa and Western provinces and in Galle and Matara districts, stated the Meteorology Department.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places elsewhere after 2.00 p.m. Heavy showers above 100 mm can be expected at some places in Uva, Eastern, Northern and North Central provinces.

Showers or thundershowers may occur at several places in Northern Province in the morning too.

General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
