Unidil Packaging donates corrugated board coffins to Dompe Hospital

Unidil Packaging, a packaging giant in Sri Lanka, fulfilling another social responsibility; donated Coffins, made out of corrugated boards, to the base Hospital, Dompe to support the process of cremation of Covid-19 related deaths.

Unidil is a socially responsible corporate body operating in the packaging industry attached to Vallibel Group of Companies.

Over a period of time, the company has engaged in many social work, especially with projects related to school and hospital networks in the area. During this health emergency situation in the country, the company has also extended their commitment at its best towards the needs of the health system and needy citizens.

Recognizing the support needed from the corporate community in the country during the pandemic, Unidil donated an Air Purifying System to the CovidI-19 CU Unit of Gampaha District Hospital recently. The company has been supporting the Covid-19 wards of Dompe Base Hospital with many facilities such as Televisions, Cupboards, Refreshments, personal care equipment and Newspapers.

Unidil a market leader in Corrugated Carton and paper sack industries, produces corrugated cartons and paper sacks to the local and export markets and its vast product range includes the packaging solutions to Tea, Food and Beverages, Rubber, Garments, Ceramics, Coconut and Cement industries in the country.

The donation took place at the hospital premises with the participation of Bannet Gamalath, Chief Executive Officer, P.M.P. Pathirana, General Manger, Mangala Subasinghe, Head of Marketing, Dayawansa Niroshana, Factory Manager and DMO of the Hospital, Dr. Kumari Gunarathne and the staff.
