Approved hotels can serve liquor

The Excise Commissioner General has issued permission to tourist hotels to issue liquor to foreign tourists currently in the country under the Bio Tourist Bubble Concept.

Due to the ongoing quarantine curfew in the country, all the other liquor shops will remain closed until the curfew is lifted.

Accordingly, only the Tourist Board-approved hotels and other hotels holding the Excise licences FL 7, FL 8 and Boutique Villas will be allowed to issue liquor to tourists.

This permission is not relevant to the hotels operating without Tourist Board approval.
