If you haven’t noticed it yet, Twitter in India is always filled with hate trends, rumours are laced with trolls, and then comes a cry for boycotting a certain actor or a Bollywood movie. It has been a pattern that we have been noticing for a while now. A while ago, Kareena Kapoor Khan was trolled for hiking her fee for playing Sita and these were just mere reports as nothing was officially confirmed.
It was being reported that she has been roped in to play the role of Sita in an upcoming mythological period saga film which will be helmed by Alaukik Desai. People started trolling her brutally as they felt she wouldn’t be able to do justice to the role of Sita and also targeted her for asking Rs 12 crore for the role.
A source told Bollywood Hungama, “Bebo who usually asks in the Rs 6-8 crores range for her films has quoted a sum of Rs 12 crores which have put the producers in a tizzy. In fact, right now, they are reconsidering their decision and also taking the film to a younger actress, as well. But talks are on and Bebo remains the first choice.”
According to the source, “Sita will need at least 8-10 months of prep, shoot, and production. So she will be completely consumed by one film at that point but Bebo also realizes that this will be her biggest magnum opus till date, as it’s a retelling of Ramayana from Sita’s point of view.” NDTV
