More COVID cases from Boossa, Galle Prisons

The Boossa Prison recorded 33 COVID cases and the Galle Prison one inmate, Southern Provincial Health Services Directors’ Office said. The inmates have been quarantined at the Boossa Prison and later referred to the respective Prisons after PCR tests. Of the 33 COVID infected inmates at the Boossa Prison, 12 were transferred to the Matara Watareka Prison and 21 to the Angunakolapelessa Prison, the Provincial Health Services Director's Office said.

A total of 555 inmates at the Boossa Prison and 102 inmates at the Galle Prison have tested COVID positive so far.
