Dry rations for trishaw drivers

The Galewela Pradeshiya Saba has come forward to provide relief to trishaw drivers in its area who have faced a drop in hires due the lockdowns on account of Covid-19.

Dry rations worth Rs.5,000 were distributed by Public Services, Provincial Councils and Local Government Minister Janaka Bandara Tennakoon recently at the premises of the Galewela Pradeshiya Sabha.

These rations were provided by the Galewela Pradeshiya Sabha on the instructions of its chairman M.P.R. Jayathilaka.

Over 300 hundred trishaw drivers were given dry rations.

Matale District Parliamentarian Pramitha Bandara Tennakoon and other members of the Galewela PS also participated on this occasion.
