Child’s body found from well

A 4-year old child was found dead in a well in Printhuruchchenai in the Valaichchenai Police area yesterday.

The child, Naleem Habiz, had gone to bed with his parents on Wednesday night and the parents found the child missing when they woke up at 11.30 p.m. They had found his body from the well in their garden later.

A neighbour informed Police and Valaichchenai Magistrate M.H.M.Bazeel recorded the evidence. The body was sent to the Batticaloa Teaching Hospital.

Batticaloa Police and Valaichchenai Police are investigating.
