Indian Company provides PCR machine worth Rs. 6.5 million

The Niru Diamond Cutters Company in India handed a PCR machine worth Rs. 6.5 million over to Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa at Temple Trees on Monday to assist the Government in its efforts to control the COVID-19 pandemic. Niru Diamond Cutters Company CEO Sanjaya Bedd handed over the machine.

This PCR machine was donated under the coordination of Ceylon Workers' Congress Vice President Sendil Thondaman. The Prime Minister instructed to hand over the PCR machine to the Diyatalawa Hospital as per the recommendations of the Health Ministry. The Prime Minister appreciated the contribution given by the private sector to the Government's efforts to control the COVID pandemic.

Chief of Staff to the Prime Minister Yoshitha Rajapaksa was present.
