Archaeological Department urged to preserve Jaffna’s caves

Former Northern Provincial Council Chairman C.V.K. Sivagnanam urged the Archaeology Department to preserve caves in the Velvettiturai and Vadamarachchi areas of Jaffna.

He said that not many people in the area were aware of the existence of these caves, and that the Archaeology Department should take steps to introduce the public to them as well.
