The Police inspected 4,579 persons and 2,727 vehicles entering Colombo yesterday (2) at 14 entry points and sent 227 persons and 154 vehicles without necessary documents.
The Police Spokesman said that those who were sent had attempted to cross the provincial border illegally.
The Police also seized 25 vehicles for violating the quarantine rules and of them, 16 had been seized in Colombo.
