Shammi Silva elected for ACC Committee

The incumbent President of Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC), Shammi Silva has been appointed as the Chairman of the Finance and Marketing Committee of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) at a meeting held recently.

Jay Shah the ACC President has confirmed his appointment by a letter and he will be heading a committee of six other members accredited to Asian governing body.

All matters pertaining to Finance and Marketing will be under his committee’s purview.

Apart from this he is also included as a Member in the Development Committee of the ACC which is headed by Pankaj Khimji of Oman Cricket who will be replaced by Mahinda Vallipuram of Malaysian Cricket Association after his tenure is completed. (AN)
