COVID 19 infected patients from the Gampaha District will be treated at the Intermediate Care Centre in Werellawatta from June 7.
The Sri Lanka Navy has already has completed the centre using it's manpower and technological expertise.
Tourism Minister Prasanna Ranatunga inspected the Centre yesterday and told the media that the facility will be a part of the Gampaha Base Hospital.
So far the Centre is equipped with 750 beds. The Sri Lanka Water Supply Board has donated another 250 beds.
