A special discussion was held recently in the auditorium of the National Institute of Education (NIE) regarding the formulation of a new curriculum frame work for the aesthetic subjects, that are to be revised in the Sri Lankan school curriculum by the year 2023.
The Director of Education for the Aesthetic subject, who had been appointed for the national level curriculum revision process by the Ministry of Education, the Director of Education of the National Institute of Education, and lecturers for the subjects of aesthetic, drawing, dance and music participated and discussed the changes that are to be made in the curriculum.
Several suggestions were made to implement this effort at the district level, initially.
