Addalaichenai Eversine Youth Club emerged champions of the Addalaichenai DS division inter youth club cricket championship-2021 conducted by the Addalaichenai Divisional Secretariat Youth Services Unit when they won the final against Addalaichenai New Star Youth Club team at the Public Playground, Palamunai recently.
This tournament was organized by the Addalaichenai Divisional Secretariat Youth Services Officer B.M.Riyath under the guidance of the Addalaichenai Divisional Secretary M.A.C.Sabir successfully.
The cricket tournament was held as a part of Addalaichenai inter divisional youth sports meet -2021. Altogether 20 registered youth club cricket teams from Addalaichenai DS division took part.
Addalaichenai New Star Youth Club team, won the toss and elected to bat first and scored 35 runs for loss of seven wickets in their allocated five overs In reply Addalaichenai Eversine Youth Club team, scored 36 runs for loss of six wickets in 4.4 overs.
The Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) Kalmunai Electorate Organizer and Member of the Eastern Province Housing Authority Board of Management Rizley M.Musthafa graced the occasion as chief guest and awarded the trophies and certificates.
The champion Addalaichenai Eversine Youth Club team, have been selected for the upcoming Ampara District Inter Division Cricket Championship – 2021 which will be conducted by the National Youth Services Council Ampara District Office.
