The Catholic Bishops’ Conference (CBC) released a statement yesterday in memory of the late Bishop Rayappu Joseph.
They stated that the late Bishop made a significant contribution to both Church and Nation by promoting interreligious dialogues and fraternity among people.
Bishop Joseph served in the Diocese of Mannar from 1992 to 2016. He was especially concerned about the needs of his parishioners, the CBC said.
