Aelian Gunawardene
Aelian Gunawardene has been invited to take up the position of President of the Sri Lanka Basketball Association (SLBA) by the Executive Committee where this decision will be ratified at the next special general meeting next week.
As there was a long standing vacancy in this position, Aelian a renowned cager player was unanimously elected to this post.
One of the finest products of S. Thomas’ College, he excelled in various sporting disciplines including rugby and athletics.
He is the Managing Director – JAT Holdings (Pvt) Limited and was the driving force behind JAT’s metamorphosis.
Gunawardene is one of Sri Lanka’s most respected corporate leaders and was awarded the National Entrepreneur of the Year 2017. (AN)
