SLC updates scorers on new ICC rules, regulations

With the Major Club T20 cricket tournament scheduled to commence today (04), T H Wijewardena the umpires and Match Refrees’ educator at Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) updated members of the Sri Lanka Cricket Scorers Association on the new rules and regulations that have been introduced by the International Cricket Council (ICC) and playing conditions of the tournament.

The workshop was held at the Western Province Cricket Association Auditorium at Khettarama on Wednesday (03) morning.

Among the ICC rules and regulations discussed were Covid regulations, player replacement, onfield injuries and use of surgical plaster.

Among the tournament rules Wijewardena stressed on the importance of scorers being conversant with the time allowances and discussed various scenarios that may take place and how they should be recorded.
