Wave Bolgoda by SINGHE launched a water sports and entertainment hub for adventure-seeking traveller and sports enthusiasts offering an Aqua Sports Hub, a Marina, an Adventure Boutique Hotel and a Restaurant.
Managing Director of WAVE & the SINGHE Group of Companies, Malaka Rubasinghe said, “As a sports enthusiast, this is something different the company had ventured into besides the other business and the concept is new to Sri Lanka. The concept was planned out four years ago, while construction was completed in nine months.”
“WAVE is one of the very few places in the country that provides a comprehensive experience to all water sports enthusiasts starting from Jet Skiing, Speed Boat rides, Kayaking, Tube rides, and Wake boarding. The hub is one of the few centers that provide flyboarding in Sri Lanka and Rs 35 million was invested on the development of the venture.”

He said that they also introduced a concept for aiming to provide a hassle free setup for all Personal WaterCraft (PWC) owners where they could dock their PWC’s at the WAVE Marina and WAVE staff taking care of its maintenance. “Whenever the owner requires we will have them launched into the water.”
Wave Bolgoda provides multiple water sports adventures and also offers the latest watercraft. . “All our water sporting events have been commissioned by Sri Lanka Tourism for all its tourism promotional activities.”
“We go beyond by providing charter Jet skiing with interesting package deals, to attract locals and tourists to experience the adventure that Sri Lanka provides”.
The property on a seven perch land offers an upper deck restaurant for lakefront dining. All signature dishes at WAVE are infused with the essence of the “Moratuwa” sub-urban locality and most of the sea-food is sourced from the lake and the ocean from Moratuwa.
Accommodation is currently limited to two luxury rooms – Deluxe and Superior (with a Jacuzzi) as the focus of WAVE to provide a boutique hotel experience where privacy is priority.
“A new online game targeting the watersports fanatics will be launched soon allowing participants to collect points that enable them to get vouchers to Wave Bolgoda.
This is a form of digitalizing the sport.”Rubasinghe said that he is also the authorized dealer for Yamaha jet skies and Wave Bolgoda is the experience centre for AMW watercrafts.
Minister of Sports Namal Rajapaksa recently identified leisure sports as a major income-generating venture for the economy and we at Wave Bolgoda endorse this.”
