The packets of heroin
Panadura North Police Officers arrested a suspect who was transporting heroin in a three wheeler opposite a tourist hotel in Horetuduwa, Panadura recently, Panadura North Police said.
About 530 packets of heroin had been hidden in the three wheeler. Two mobile phones were seized.
Police have identified the suspect as a large scale drug seller who has been an accomplice of a woman who has been imprisoned in connection with a drug scam. The woman is known as ‘Angulana Rosha, a 39-year-old resident of Angulana,Moratuwa, Police said. The suspect was to be produced before the Panadura Magistrate. Panadura SSP Sanjaya Irasinghe and SP Udaya Amarathunga of the Panadura North Police Officers are investigating.
