The Retract Club of Pearl Island organized a Beach Cleaning programme at Wellawatha beach a few months ago in collaboration with the Wellawatha Hindu Ladies College (Saivamangayar ) Board of Prefects. More than 45 prefects took part in this event.
This project falls under the of the social service programmes done by Wellawatha Hindu Ladies College Prefects. Principal of Hindu Ladies College, Arunthathy Rajavijayan, teacher in charge Sivkuru Jayarupan, OIC of Wellawatha Police Station Kapila Wijayamana, Colombo Municipal member Paskara were also present.
