Creating a record in the history of Sri Lanka lotteries, a winner to the tune of Rs. 236 million was found for the Mega Power lottery marketed by National Lotteries Board.
The winning ticket was sold by a Lottery agent, R.A.Ajith Ranasinghe of Katugostota Kandy. General Manager of the National Lotteries Board Dharshana Wijesiriwardena said that the Mega Power Lottery was introduced in May 2016 and it produced ‘three Super’ winners on a daily basis. This is the highest in the lottery history of Sri Lanka and previously Rs.130 million was awarded to a lucky winner from the Govi Setha Lottery in 2015 and the winner was from Embilipitiya.”
