Dialog on ‘Towards Pluralistic Society’

Inter-religious dialog on ‘Towards Pluralistic Society - A collective engagement for religious co-existence’ by the National Peace Councils of Sri Lanka (NPCSL) assisted by the Local Inter Religious Society of Addalaichenei was held in Ampara recently.

The programme under the patronage of NPCSL Project Manager Nishantha Kumara was attended by Buddhist monks and moulavies with their students. The participants in the discussion said that languages play major role in understanding each other’s feelings and viewpoints.

Therefore, languages should be taught to understand each other’s feelings and approaches, they said.

Ven.Watareka Vijitha Thera, Ven. Bandaraduwe Nanadarathan Thera Deputy Principal- Dharama Ayathana, Suduvela, Moulavi M.S.Irshad and LIRC Moulavi M.S.Kamardeen were present.
