The Mass in progress.
The annual feast of the Our Lady of Perpetual Succor Ayethiyamalai, Batticaloa was celebrated yesterday. The Mass was concelebrated with the Bishop of Batticaloa Rt, Rev. Dr. Joseph Ponniah and other priests. Devotees from all over the island participated.
Batticaloa District TNA Parliamentarian Rasamanikkam Sanakkiyan, District Government Agent Kalamathy Pathmaraja, Mayor Thiagaraja Saravanapavan, Vavunativu Assistant Divisional Secretary Suba Satha and Eastern University Senior Lecturer Dr.Chandrakantha Mahendranathan and Police and Army officers were present.
