Devotees allowed to view Kataragama perahera

Basnayake Nilame of the Ruhunu Maha Kataragama Devalaya Dilruwan Rajapaksa yesterday said that devotees are allowed to view the annual Ruhunu Maha Kataragama perahera from yesterday.

Rajapaska said that this decision was made on request of Chief Adhikarana Sanganayake of Ruhunu Magampattu Most Ven. Kapugama Saranathissa Thera and former Basnayake Nilame Shashendra Rajapaksa.

The Perahera festival started on July 2.
