NEC urged to set CCTVs at polling centres

Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) General Secretary Dayasiri Jayasekara yesterday said that the SLFP Lawyers’ Association has written to National Election Commission (NEC) Chairman Mahinda Deshapriya urging him to equip the polling centres at the General Election 2020 with CCTVs to prevent malpractices and frauds.

SLFP Lawyers’ Association Chairman Bandula Wellala has requested this for all political parties.

“Electors expect a free and fair election this time, since they have experienced frauds at general elections in the past,” Wellala in his letter has stated.
