Election Monitor PAFFREL in a report released yesterday said that since the inception of campaign for the upcoming General Election, 270 incidents of violation of stipulated health guidelines have been observed while 1,056 complaints of carrying out illegal election propaganda have been recorded.
According to the complaints received and their observations, 24 cases of assault related to the election campaign were recorded. Sixty eight complaints had been lodged over the misuse of state property for election propaganda, 15 incidents of using state vehicles and 23 incidents of acting in favour of political parties in breach of their official duties. Fifteen incidents of inconveniencing the public and 14 incidents of unlawful meetings and processions were also reported.
