Sri Lanka’s COVID-19 recovery rate reaches 94. 08 %

The COVID-19 recovery rate of Sri Lanka has reached 94.08 percent which is the highest when compared to the USA, Russia, India, Brazil and Peru, Epidemiology Unit sources said.

According to sources, the Global recovery rate of COVID-19 is 57.44 percent and it is 43.57 percent in the USA. The recovery rate of Russia is 66.82 percent. India has a 61.03 percent of COVID-19 recovery rate.

“At present now only 112 COVID-19 patients are in Sri Lankan hospitals and this is only 5.4 percent from the total number of patients reported so far. There are 1955 recoveries. The fatality rate of Sri Lanka is just 0.53 percent and it is 4.6 percent globally,” sources said.

“A total of 114,765 PCR Tests have been done since February 18th. Only 35 suspected patients are in hospitals undergoing further testing,” sources added.
