More Lankans arrive from SA, Qatar, Philippines

Several Sri Lankans stranded abroad due to the Covid-19 pandemic arrived in the country yesterday (7) morning. According to airport sources, the Lankans had arrived from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the Philippines.

A SriLankan Airlines charter flight brought down over 200 Sri Lankans from Riyadh in Saudi Arabia around 7 am yesterday (7) morning, while some passengers had arrived from Qatar.

These passengers had arrived at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) at 1.45 am on a flight of the Qatar Airways. Further, over 40 Sri Lankans had arrived from the Philippines on Monday (6) night on a SriLankan Airlines charter flight.
