Another 17 persons who were in quarantine at the Blue Water Hotel in Wadduwa were released after completion of their quarantine period and undergoing the PCR test yesterday (04).
Accordingly, 11,686 persons have so far undergone the quarantine process at tri forces operated quarantine centres. Another 5240 persons are currently in quarantine at 45 quarantine centres operated by the tri forces, Brigadier Chandana Wickramasinghe said yesterday.
As of 5.00 pm yesterday (04) another 41 persons had tested positive for the Coronavirus and five of them are returnees from overseas. They are three from India and one each from Dubai and Bangladesh. The rest of the 36 infected persons are members of the Navy. So far 830 Navy personnel have been infected with the Coronavirus and 420 of them have made complete recovery and have been discharged from hospital. Another 410 Navy personnel are still receiving treatment at selected hospitals.
