Galle returns to normality

Following the relaxation of curfew regulations people of Galle re-engaged in their regular day to day activities as usual. People gathered to the city and its suburbs for their diverse needs.

However very long queues were not formed for the purchase of food items in front of shop stores and super markets as on previous curfew free occasions. Yet a long queue was seen before a cigarette outlet in Galle Main-street.

Almost all business places and both state and private work places were open. The public life had returned to normality.

Public transport services had been re-initiated with some deficiencies.

The main vegetable market was also open. But there was a drop in the number of consumers as a number of road-side vegetable stalls had been   opened at several other places of the city.
