Boat factory in Karainagar to get facelift

The Boat production company in Karainagar, Jaffna will be updated with new technology for the benefit of the entire country, Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Minister Douglas Devananda's said.

He made an inspection tour in the factory recently and discussed what has to be done to develop the factory with the officials of the Cey-Nor Foundation at his ministry.

The Minister said the boat production in the past was not done properly, and it should be carried out scientifically.

He said that help is sought from Norwegian boat manufacturers who use the most modern technology in this regard.

Norwegian investors also participated in the discussion.
