A fine match bag of 10 for 32 (4/0 and 6/32) by second year player and left arm leg spinner Imesh Soysa enabled Royal College Horana to defeat Rajapakse Maha Vidyalaya Weeraketiya by 59 runs in their inter-school first eleven cricket match worked off at Horana. This game is their third outing for the season and they are coached by Janith Dissanayake and Dinuka Godakanda as his deputy.
Batting first Horana Royalists were all out for 137runs with Vidura Subasinghe claiming 5 for 27 and in reply visitors scored 165 runs Dimantha Ovitigala had a fine spell of 5 for 5 runs.
In their second essay homesters did much better to score 215 runs with Manuja Matarage and Sahan Divyanjana scoring 68 and 59 runs respectively. Set to make 188 runs for an outright win visitors were all out for 128 runs.
