Defenders SC and Paro FC ended in a 3-3 draw at the Opening preliminary round soccer match of the South Asian Zone qualifiers for the 2020 Asian Football Confederation Cup (AFC) at the race course grounds yesterday.
Chameera Sajith took early lead with a long range kick at the goal and Followed by Paro striker Dieudonne Fabassou who netted their first goal in the 11th minute to make the equalizer.
Chencho Gyeltshen scored another goal in the 24th minute and defenders’ foreign player Evan Asante got into action and netted a goal in the 34th minute. Defenders back line errors allowed Paro end the first half in a perfect possible way when their striker Dieudonne Fabassou scored their third goal through a brilliant header in the 45th minute to go up 3-2 into the second half.
Chamara Sajith came to the rescue and scored his second goal and the equalizer in the 63rd minute with wonderful performance.
However during the extra time the defenders forwards failed to find the net as the game ended in a draw (3-3).
