TUFF meeting soon

Tamil United Freedom Front (TUFF) Colombo District Organizer, M. Dushyanth yesterday (17) said a special meeting will be held soon under the patronage of the party’s leader Vinayagamoorthy Muralitharan (formerly ‘Karuna’) to discuss the issues faced by the upcountry, and North and East Tamils who currently live in Colombo.

He said: “In recent times, Tamils from the upcountry and North and East are facing a lot of issues when living in Colombo. These Tamils have moved to Colombo with a lot of hopes and expectations for a better life.”

He added, “Vinayagamoorthy Muralitharan will hold a discussion with President Gotabaya Rajapaksa with regard to these issues. There are a lot Tamils suffering in silence, facing many hardships and no one hears their stories. Their issues have prolonged for too long, and there should be a solution for this agony.”

Following the meeting with the TUFF leader, a discussion with the President will be held to discuss the matters concerning the Tamils.
