‘War’ to turn into a franchise?

Director Siddharth Anand’s ‘War’ starring Hrithik Roshan, Tiger Shroff and Vaani Kapoor has become one of the biggest openers of 2019. Much before its release, fans were excited to see Hrithik and Tiger together on the big screen for the very first time.

Interestingly, with the warmth and positive response the film has received, we hear makers are planning to turn into a franchise. Talking about the same, the filmmaker said in a recent interview, “We had an idea of turning it into a franchise provided we get love of audience. It seems audience’s demand is more than our desire. This is how it should be. We all will sit together soon and decide on it,”

Opening up more about the project, Siddharth added, “I wanted to push the team and everyone and only then we were able to make a spectacle like this. The audience has loved the film and this is proof of their blessings. It is a unique film, a lot of hard work has gone into it and the credit goes to the entire team.”

The action-thriller released on October 2 and earned over Rs 53 crore on its first day at the box-office. ‘War’ was made on a massive budget and was shot across several countries.
