FR petitions against MCC, SOFA, ACSA agreements fixed for support on Jan.31

Several Fundamental Rights petitions filed against Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) compact, Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) and, Acquisition and Cross Servicing Agreement (ACSA) were today fixed for support on January 31 by Supreme Court.
 
When the petitions came up before five-judge-bench comprising Justices Buwaneka Aluwihare, L.T.B. Dehideniya, Murdu Fernando, S. Thurairaja and Gamini Amarasekera, the court was informed that the respondents were yet to receive notices.

Accordingly, these petitions are to be taken up again on December 13, in order to ascertain whether respondents receive notices.
