Journalist attacked

The Independent Television Network (ITN) and Vasantham Batticaloa provincial reporter Mohamed Saji of Kattankudy has been attacked and admitted to the Kattankudy Base Hospital on Friday

He has lodged a complaint at the Kattankudy Police stating that he was attacked when he was on his way to the office.

He had conducted an interview for Vasantham TV for the Athivu programme. He stated in his compliant that the people who assaulted him told him that his boss Irfan Mohamed, the manager of Vasantham TV, will also be dealt with.

The Kattankudy Police are investigating.
