BIA: Arrive three hours before departure time

The Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) has requested all passengers to reach the airport at least 3 hours before departure time of their flights, the Government Information Department yesterday announced.

The request has been made considering the adverse weather conditions prevailing in the country and especially the heavy rainfalls reported in Colombo and Gampaha districts.

There has been a minor flood situation in the area close to BIA as well. Even though it is the usual procedure to arrive at the Airport before three hours, passengers are kindly requested to strictly follow these time schedules considering the adverse weather conditions to avoid any delays, BIA authorities said.
