Welgama’s corruption case postponed to July 12

The Colombo Chief Magistrate Lanka Jayarathne today, fixed the corruption case filed against former Transport Minister Kumara Welgama for July 12.

The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruptions (CIABOC) charged that the former minister caused an unlawful loss to the government by appointing a Deputy Chairman to the Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) contrary to the Transport Act.
