Gazette on Emergency to be presented to House tomorrow

Party Leaders of Parliament have decided to present the Gazette pertaining to the Emergency Regulations for the approval of the House tomorrow (24).

A special Party Leaders’ Meeting was convened by Speaker Karu Jayasuriya yesterday to discuss the current situation. The Gazette on emergency regulations deals with the sections pertaining to the Prevention of Terrorism. Parliament will approve the Gazette following a day’s debate.
