Takiko Yoshida remembered

The 19th death anniversary of Takiko Yoshida was commemorated at the Sapugaskanda Yoshida Shokanji International School on February 28.

Takiko Yoshida’s son, Dr. Kenji Yoshida was the chief guest. Health and Indigenous Medicine Minister Dr. Rajitha Senarathne, Parliamentarian Piyasena Gamage, former Minister Sirisena Cooray, former Pakistan High Commissioner, Major General Jayanatha Lokuketage, Ven. Banagala Upathissa Thera and a delegation from Japan were also present at the event.

Students of the Yoshida Shokanji International School, in a procession, carried a portrait of Takiko Yoshida from the Sapugaskanda Junction to the school.

They held a meeting after paying floral tribute to the statue of Takiko Yoshida.
