CID seeks AG’s advice on Aksha Sudhari

 

The CID conducting investigations over an allegation that popular teledrama actress Aksha Sudhari had defrauded an Indian of Rs.140 million informed Court yesterday that it has concluded investigation and sought the Attorney General’s advice regarding the incident.

Therefore, Colombo Additional Magistrate Nishanta Peiris fixed matter for December 8.

In this case, teledrama actress Aksha Sudhari who is alleged to have had an affair with an Indian, had defrauded Rs.140 million. The Court had issued an order to freeze her bank accounts in connection with the incident.

The CID alleged that the actress had allegedly lured the Indian and had fraudulently cheated him of Rs.140 million.

However, the suspect had said in her statement that the Indian had purchased very valuable items for her as he intended to marry her. In May 2015, the Complainant, Indian National had lodged a complaint against Sudarai with the CID alleging that he had given money to the suspect for the purpose of investing in a business in Sri Lanka. The complainant was an Accountant attached to a company in Dubai and allegedly had a close relationship with the suspect Aksha Sudari for some years.
