Pussalla Meat wins European Award for Best Practices

Pussalla Meat Producers has been awarded European Award for Best Practices 2016 in Gold Category” for their commitment, support and results in quality management strategies at the convention held last week in Brussels, Belgium.

The event was organized by European Society for Quality Research (ESQR) Switzerland.

The European Award for Best Practices recognizes the organizations, companies, public administration and individuals with outstanding commitments, support and results in quality management strategies, good business practices and technological innovation in world wide. The Award winning companies are selected by ESQR based on results of the ESQR’s polls, consumer opinion research and market studies.

Seventy nine companies representing different sectors were participated for the convention from Europe, Asia, The Americas, Africa and Australia.

Pussalla possesses the biggest grandparent farm in the country and operate with technical collaboration of the Hubbard Breeders France, a recognized international company in poultry breeding. Pussalla entered into export market in year 2015 and currently exporting 50% of its Parent Stock Production to South Asian countries with association of Hubbard France. As the one of the major poultry producers in Sri Lanka Pussalla produce 2 mn Broiler Chicks per month through the single stage incubation process complied with climate control CC 3- GL system.

Pussalla started its own feed milling operation in 2015 with the investment of Rs.900 mn, which has the capacity to produce 20 tons of feed per hour.
