Int'l TPM Summit 2016 opens today in Colombo

The International TPM Summit 2016 will commence today in Colombo under the theme 'Developing Capability for Sustainable Growth'.

Thilak Pushpakumara, President of Association of TPM Practitioners will make the keynote address opening the summit. Also panel discussions with prominent intellectuals in the region will be held with presentations on successful stories of leading organizations in the region and technical papers and presentations.

This is the second international TPM summit organized by the Association of TPM. Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) mainly focuses on improving human resources and equipment to reach its goals. This summit is themed around this aspect to enhance resources in an organisation to its sustainable growth. Keeping the momentum of growth in the current context as change is the only constant highly challenging.

The 2016 summit will address these challenges and to share knowledge in overcoming these obstacles.

Technical papers and presentations will be done by Ken Ohtaguro, General Manager Pajan Institute of Plant Maintenance on 'Next TPM and Global TPM trend', Rajesh Parim, Principle Counsellor and head TPM Club of India on 'Employee engagement towards the organization profitability improvement', Sudath Fernando, Operaitons Manager, Benji Ltd, Vice President Association of TPM Practitioners on 'Education and Training is the Backbone of TPM', Prasanna Hettiarachchige, Operations Manager Slimline committee member of Association of TPM Practitioners on 'Challenges of TPM Implementation in Lankan industrie', Wajira De Silva, Engineering Manager, Medical Global Business Unit Ansell Lanka (Pvt) Ltd. Vice President Association of TPMA practitioners on 'Advanced Maintenance Technologies for Zero breakdown and maintenance cost reduction'.

Panel discussions will be held with prominent intellectuals in the region on developing capability of the human resources and equipment for sustainable growth.. Samitha Perera, CEO CBL Foods International, Felix Fernando, Director Omega Line Group of companies, CEO - Sirio Ltd, Rajesh Parim, Principal Counsellor and head, TPM Club of India and Professor Pallewatta, Head of the Civil Engineering department, Open University of Sri Lanka will participate in panel discussions.
