IMF assistance not wrong - NPP

NPP MP Vijitha Herath, said in Parliament yesterday that it is not wrong to take a loan from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) during a financial crisis.

But he said that the fault lies in the fact that the government has no plan to work with the borrowed amount.

The MP said this while speaking in the debate held after the President presented the terms of the agreement with the International Monetary Fund to Parliament.
