CEO of Tiktokgrilled by US Congress

Tiktok CEO ShouZi Chew was called to give evidence before the Congress in light of the proposal to ban Tiktok in USA sue to concerns regarding data protection issues yesterday (23 March). Chew was questioned extensively for 4 and a half hours straight by the Congress; both Republicans and Democrat members.

Chew is not the first CEO to appear before Congress on data protection issues. Couple of year prior to this founder Facebook Mark Zuckerberg also appeared before the Congress. This rime however, Congress's line of questioning was more relentless than before.
