The adventure trail ‘Raid Amazones 2023’kicked off in Kandy on March 22 with nearly 250 female athletes from France participating in the trail in Sri Lanka’s hill capital. Raid Amazones is the world’s only itinerant women’s adventure race and SriLankan Airlines is the Presenting Partner of the event.
The French group participated in a trail running race from Hanthane to Galaha on Wednesday, covering 11 kilometers in between. Yesterday the participants had a blast canoeing across the enchanting waters of Lake Victoria.
The event with live global media coverage is a huge boost for Sri Lanka tourism.
