I have good memories of the Galle International Cricket Stadium when I was at my school Richmond College Galle we used to play at this ground with limited facilities said Nuski Mohamed the former SLC Treasurer and the chairman of the Sri Lanka Cricket Foundation who was present at the Sri Lanka A Vs England Lions four-day game yesterday.

Nuski is no stranger to the Sri Lanka Cricket administration as he held several top posts as Secretary, Treasurer and Exco Member. "I was very keen to play cricket and later became a cricket administrator. I had a very successful period under the late Minister Gamini Dissanayake. He was the man behind Sri Lanka obtaining Test status. I still remember we organised England A four-day games under Micheal Atherton who was later appointed as National team skipper. I had a very short period to organise the England A series but it was a huge success".

We played one four-day game that was in 1985/86 and especially good memories of the exhibition match of the inauguration ceremony of the R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium. Those days late President R. Premadasa who was the Prime minister at that time asked me to organise this game".

Nuski Mohammed also praised SLC for organising this type of Sri Lanka 'A' team matches to give exposure. Nuzki also President of Saracens CC said he already give more chances to youngsters from outstations. Isitha Wijesundara the paceman from Saracens is in this Sri Lanka A squad while some of our players are in good form at the domestic tournaments. We haven't our ground but my players are training at Bloomfield grounds to take part in the Premier League cricket tournaments.
