President still to accept Charles’ resignation

President Ranil Wickremesinghe has still not taken a decision whether to accept the resignation of Election Commission Member P. S. M. Charles or not, sources of the President’s Office said. 

In a letter to the President on January 25, Charles informed that she was resigning from the duties of the Election Commission. Sources of the President’s Office said that the President would take a decision in that regard at a future date.
